Rock Steady Boxing classes are taught by trainers who are certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  Each trainer has his/her own experience in boxing as a competitor, as a trainer or have been trained by professional boxing coaches.

Classes are designed to teach all members the fundamentals of boxing while focusing on over-all fitness and well being.  The workouts are completely NON-CONTACT.  Workouts include ring work (16x16 regulation boxing ring), focus mitts, heavy bags, speed bags, double-ended bags, jump ropes, core work, calisthenics and circuit weight training.

No experience necessary.  Equipment available in-house for use.  Equipment packages can be purchased for $100 which include your own boxing gloves, hand wraps, jump rope, mouth piece and Rock Steady Boxing Gym bag.

PARKINSON'S CLASS

We are learning everyday that there are ways in which people with Parkinson's disease can enhance their daily quality of life and even build impressive power, strength, flexibility and speed!  By exercising with trainers who know the ropes, you can fight your way out of the corner and start to FEEL BETTER.

Boxing works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout.   These classes represent the foundation's core and have already proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson's, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier/happier life.

WOMEN'S BOXING CLASS

Our women's boxing class is fitness with a punch!  This high intensity class combines the benefits of cardio and strength training in one exciting workout.

While training for a real fight, boxers undergo a series of difficult activities to obtain total fitness throughout the entire body.  In addition to building cardio endurance, developing lean muscle mass, strength and power is critical.

Trainers take the girls through real boxing workouts without the stress of actually competing, although sparring can be optional.  No other local gym offers an all-women boxing class where girls can get one-on-one attention from real trainers who aren’t focused on the fight.  We’ll get your body in shape by training you like a pro!

EXECUTIVE BOXING CLASS

Get fit.

Fight stress.

Support a cause.

Boxing has long been known to relive stress and the physical benefits from this rigorous workout are obvious and real.  The executive boxing class is designed to get men in shape by training like boxers.

After high school and college sports, it becomes difficult to uncover the feeling of “team camaraderie”.  The executive boxing class has been designed to work men as a team.  You will be taught the fundamentals of boxing so you can fight your way on into a powerful lean body.

Executive classes target those who can help the Rock Steady Boxing Foundation continue it’s FREE Parkinson’s program.  Without the help of these fellow executives, we could no longer fight against this crippling disease!
