Michigan Parkinson's Foundation

  • Since its founding in 1983, the Michigan Parkinson Foundation (MPF) has been a steadfast advocate for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s across the state of Michigan. Under the leadership of Kristin Rossi, MPF embodies the spirit of the Scott Newman Impact Award through its commitment to community, exercise, education, and respite care.
    •
  • MPF currently supports over 70 support groups across Michigan, hosts both in-person and virtual exercise classes, and organizes educational events, awareness walks, and fundraising initiatives to build critical connections within the Parkinson’s community. In 2024 alone, MPF provided an estimated 13,885 hours of respite care and served approximately 35,000 individuals with Parkinson’s. The foundation is highly collaborative, working with national, regional, and local partners to ensure that everyone affected by Parkinson’s has access to compassionate, high-quality care and support. https://parkinsonsmi.org/
