What does training look like?

To become certified, clinicians must complete the approximately 8 hr online training prior to participating in a 2 day in-person training at our Indianapolis Headquarters.

Investment

  • Training:
    $899 for training including online and in-person training
  • Recertification fee:
    $75 every 3 years to complete recertification exam

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

No, RSB Group exercise delivery is only available to be led by RSB Certified Coaches at a RSB Affiliate location. This Clinical certification is for 1:1 clinical delivery using the RSB method.

Yes, you will bill normal CPT codes just as you would any other treatment. For example, billing Therapeutic Exercise, Gait training, or Neuromuscular Reeducation.

If there is an RSB affiliate near you, you can complete the Coach bridge course and then lead the group exercise class at that affiliate. Contact us for information regarding the steps.

If there is no RSB affiliate near you, you will need to establish an affiliate location and complete the Coach bridge course. Contact us for information regarding the steps.

A standard therapy department will generally have the equipment you will need to start using the RSB method with your patients. Your patients will need boxing gloves. Over time, it could be nice to add some small equipment like focus mitts or a freestanding heavy bag.

Academic Delivery

  • Graduate programs may host Rock Steady certification training on their campus
  • Existing students, typically in at least their second year of training, may participate 
  • Often local clinicians, graduates, faculty, and clinical instructors also are frequently invited
  • Online training will be completed prior to the in-person training which is typically delivered in one day.
  • Costs generally depends on the number of participants and the cost of travel
  • Benefits to the program include student certification beyond entry level education prior to graduation, engages the local clinical community with the graduate program, and gives a learning opportunity to clinical instructors.
