Week of June 16

This week we bring back some old school boxing techniques! How better than to punch, move, throw body blows and put together some classic combinations!

Working the heavy bag takes a lot of power speed, coordination and balance. There are many heavy bag drills you can do to increase endurance, speed and power.

What we also need to learn and practice on our bags are boxing combinations, or putting together a series of punches mixing power and speed. Practicing combinations is a fantastic way to work on cognition, sequencing and muscle memory. In addition – IT IS FUN!

Those same combos can be used on double ended bags, speed bags, focus mitts and more. Let’s work on some combination drills during parts of the workout.

Please add to the ideas in the comments of the #POWBoxingCombos post HERE.
